Frequently Asked Questions

What is a pruned node?
A pruned node verifies the full blockchain but only keeps the most recent blocks on disk (~550 MB) and chainstate (~13 GB). It's a fully validating node — ideal if you don't need to query full historical block data.
Which Bitcoin Core versions are supported?
The snapshot is compatible with Bitcoin Core v28 through v31.1 on Windows, Linux, and macOS.
How long does the download link last?
Your download link is valid for 24 hours after purchase. If it expires before you can use it, contact support@chainstate.io.
How fresh is the snapshot?
Snapshots are generated daily. The sync date is shown on the pricing card above.
Is it secure to use snapshot?
The snapshot is just the blocks and chainstate folders, which are plain binary data files. There's nothing in there that can run or execute anything on your machine.
How do I verify the snapshot?
Run gettxoutsetinfo muhash and compare the MuHash to a known-good value for the same block height. They must match. Read the Chain State Verification guide.
