Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of chainstate.io (the "Service"), operated by 2BITS, Nikita Verkhovin, s.p., Parmova ulica 53, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia, ("we", "us", or "our").

By purchasing from or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

chainstate.io provides paid digital downloads of Bitcoin Core blockchain snapshots — specifically the blocks/ and chainstate/ directories from a pruned Bitcoin Core node. These snapshots are intended to help users bootstrap a Bitcoin Core node without performing a full initial block download.

We do not provide Bitcoin Core software itself. You are responsible for obtaining and running Bitcoin Core independently. Snapshots are provided as-is and are not affiliated with or endorsed by Bitcoin Core developers.

3. Payment

All purchases are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are displayed in Euros (€). We do not store or have access to your payment card details.

A purchase entitles you to a single-use, time-limited download link for the most recent available snapshot at the time of purchase.

4. Download Link

Upon successful payment, a download link will be made available to you. This link is valid for 24 hours from the time of purchase. We are not responsible for links that expire due to the user's delay in downloading.

Download links are for personal use only and must not be shared, resold, or distributed.

5. Refund Policy

Due to the digital nature of the product, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds once a download link has been issued.

If you experience a technical issue preventing you from accessing your download (e.g. link delivery failure), please contact us at support@chainstate.io and we will resolve the issue or issue a replacement link at our discretion.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Resell or redistribute downloaded snapshots or download links
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to circumvent any access controls or authentication mechanisms
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the snapshot data is complete, accurate, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose.

You use the downloaded snapshot at your own risk. We recommend verifying the integrity of any data you import into your Bitcoin Core installation.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, 2BITS, Nikita Verkhovin, s.p. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service or downloaded content, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the relevant transaction.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Slovenia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

If you are a consumer within the European Union, you may also be entitled to the mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
